The Thompson Endowed Scholarship

The fund shall support one or more undergraduate or graduate students who are members of a federally or state-recognized tribe, with preference for nursing majors and members of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. If the fund cannot be awarded as previously stated, then it may be awarded to one or more undergraduate or graduate students who have a demonstrated interest in serving Native communities and who plan to use their education to further that interest. The student recipient(s) will be selected by the process then-in-effect within the University of Rhode Island Multicultural Student Services Center in conjunction with the Office of Enrollment Services.
