Calvin H. Brainard Leadership Scholarship

The Fund shall be used to support undergraduate students in the College of Business, majoring in Finance, who have demonstrated academic performance (Dean’s List in the two most recent semesters) and active leadership/service in the URI and/or broader community. Calvin H. Brainard was a URI Professor of Finance and Insurance from 1953-1980 who actively encouraged, celebrated and supported students in the pursuit of academic excellence and community leadership. Recipients are to be selected by Chair of the Finance Department in conjunction with the Office of the Dean of College of Business.
