David E. Barrett '78 Family Scholarship

The Fund shall support current or former University of Rhode Island student athletes interested in pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration and entering the One-Year MBA Program in the College of Business. Candidates will be nominated by professors and athletic coaches with up to two recipients selected annually on the basis of leadership, social responsibility, undergraduate performance at the University, and demonstrated commitment towards academic and professional development. Recipients will receive a full tuition scholarship including housing, books, and meal plan. The student recipients will be selected by the Dean of the College of Business and the Athletic Director. If in any given year, an award cannot be made based on the criteria, the funds will roll over to the following year to accommodate additional awardees.
