The Rho Iota Kappa Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity Endowed

The Fund shall support 1) Full-time undergraduate members of the Chi Phi Fraternity at the University of Rhode Island (URI) and 2) Descendants of initiated members of the Chi Phi Fraternity at URI or its predecessor organization, the Rho Iota Kappa Fraternity, pursuing undergraduate studies at URI. While there is an active Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity recognized by URI, funds available for distribution shall be allocated 50% for active undergraduate members in good academic standing with documented financial need as determined by Enrollment Services and 50% for descendants of initiated members regardless of financial need. If there is no active chapter, 100% of distribution shall be allocated to descendants of initiated members. If in any academic year there are no candidates that meet the above criteria, funds available for distribution will be carried forward to the following year within their respective categories. Awards are limited to a maximum of $10,000 per candidate in any academic year. Awards may be renewed as long as the student continues to meet the criteria.
