Joseph & Joan Patton Science Scholarship

Income from this endowment will provide a scholarship to incoming students from Westerly, Rhode Island intending to major in a science or Underwater Archeology at the University of Rhode Island. Eligible students must be from Westerly, RI. Preference shall be given to undergraduates who express an interest in a career in marine science or Underwater Archeology, or to a graduate student, if that applicant is a resident of Westerly and would be enrolled in Oceanography. The scholarship shall be based on need & merit. Selection of the students shall be made by the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences in consultation with Enrollment Services.
