Bradford E. Southworth Family Scholarship

The endowment shall be used to provide an annual award to an undergraduate student enrolled at the University of Rhode Island who demonstrates financial need, is in good academic standing, and is studying in the department of Environment and Natural Resource Economics. The scholarship is to be given at the discretion of the Department Chair. If the desired criteria for distributing the scholarship cannot be matched, then at the discretion of the Department Chair, the scholarship shall be used to support a student (undergraduate or graduate) or faculty member in need of funds for conference or field study, travel, paper or project presentation, or other similar purposes. In the event that the scholarship cannot be awarded as described, then at the discretion of the Dean, the scholarship is to be awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need and is in good academic standing within the College of the Environment and Life Sciences.
