Rhode Island Blood Center Scholarship

The fund shall be used to provide an annual award to a student in his/her Junior year, enrolled at URI, who is majoring in Medical Laboratory Science, and who has been accepted into the RIBC’s senior year clinical internship. URI faculty form the Clinical Laboratory Science Program, in coordination with the URI clinical faculty at Lifespan and CharterCare Hospitals, will serve as the selection committee. Three candidates will be recommended to the RIBC, who will make the final selection. The candidate will be selected in the late spring/early summer so that he or she can begin training full time at the RIBC prior to his or her internship which will begin in mid-July each year.
