The Library and Information Studies Scholarship Endowment

Income from the endowment will be used to provide scholarships to two students in the Library and Information Studies program: one who is preparing to go into public librarianship and the other who is preparing to go into school librarianship. Recipients shall be selected by the LIS Director in consultation with faculty and determination of the awards shall be based on academic excellence and other criteria, including demonstrated social responsibility, professional leadership, and contribution to the community. Preference shall be given to a student living or working in Rhode Island.
