The endowment shall be awarded to a student who is interested in either public or government service. Such examples would include, yet not be limited to, the FDA, Indian Health Service, Public Health Service and Commissioned Officers in the Armed Servces. Additionally, students who participate in local government response teams (state, county and municipal) would quality. Furthermore, an award can also be made to a student who is involved in a rotation / residency with any of the above mentioned organizations.
