Income from endowment for a scholarship awarded annually to a student in the College of Environmental and Life Sciences from Tiverton, RI based on the criteria outlined below. If no such student exists, the student can be from Little Compton, RI. The student(s) must have financial need and be only an average academic student, in any year of study. Recipient selected by the Dean of CELS. First preference will be given to a student in CELS with either a double major in Education or minor in Education. Second preference to a CELS only student. If no CELS student fits these criteria, the Dean of Arts & Sciences should award to an Education major with the same stipulations as above. Initially, the award will be given annually in the amount of $500.00. When the spend-able income reaches $1,000, one award in that amount will be made annually. When the awardable amount surpasses $1000, more than one award can be made annually.
