Keeping the Promise Scholarship

The Fund will support tuition for a current full-time student enrolled at the University of Rhode Island that
was accepted from the Community College of Rhode Island. Qualified recipients must have gone through
the Rhode Island Promise Scholars program. The award will be made by enrollment services and will be
based on financial need. Recipients will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA to continue to receive the scholarship.
This scholarship will support a student from an underrepresented population with preference given to African American students.

If such an award would not otherwise comply with applicable law, then the scholarship shall go to a
student with demonstrated financial need and in good standing from a historically underrepresented
population at the University.
