Benson Scholarship Endowment

Income from endowment for a scholarship awarded annually to an African American student who has an exceptional record of well-rounded academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to community service. This award is intended to recognize students with a meritorious record, strong work ethic and a passion for serving the needs of others. Recipient selected by Enrollment Services and when evaluating academic achievement, test scores and grades should be considered, but additional and balanced consideration should be given to excellence in complementary areas that indicate merit, e.g. athletics, the arts, debate, civic service, etc.
