IGT Scholarship

The Fund will be used to support women majoring in computer science, beginning freshman second semester through senior year. Students must have and continue to maintain a 3.0 GPA (or be deemed eligible by the Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Statistics) and participate in campus activities including but not limited to professional development opportunities, mentoring, community building, etc. Recipients will be selected by the Department of Computer Science and Statistics in conjunction with the Office of the Dean, College of Arts and Sciences. If it it determined, or the University of Rhode Island otherwise believes, that such an award would not comply with applicable law, then URIFAE shall consult with the Donor to establish criteria which most nearly accomplishes the Donor’s intent. In the event URIFAE cannot consult the Donor after making reasonable efforts, the scholarship shall go to any other worthy student with demonstrated financial need and in good standing at the University in accordance with Section 6 herein.
